Submission Info

Submissions in any field of medieval studies are welcome year-round.

Potential contributors should follow the Submission Guidelines for TMJ. Please note that TMJ operates a double-blind peer review policy.

Articles should normally be up to 12,000 words in length (inclusive of footnotes and bibliography), and should be written in English. The editors also welcome shorter opinion pieces and notes of up to 6,000 words (inclusive of footnotes and bibliography).

Please conform to the brief style summary produced by Brepols: Brepols style guide

Brepols’ Open Access Policy can be found here. Please contact the editors as early as possible in the process to discuss Open Access options as there are limits on the number of Green Open Access articles we can allow for each volume.
